British Automobile Racing Club (BARC)

The British Automobile Racing Club has played a defining role in British motorsport for more than a century.

Founded in 1912 as The Cyclecar Club, the organisation has evolved through generations of British motorsport – from the pioneering days of Brooklands to Goodwood, Thruxton and some of the country’s best-known racing championships and events.

Along the way, the Club has organised landmark races, supported the development of motorsport venues and championships, and brought together generations of competitors, officials, marshals and enthusiasts.

Today, the BARC remains at the heart of British motorsport, building on more than 100 years of heritage while continuing to evolve for the future.
