Qualifying

From lightweight classics to turbocharged touring car icons and more modern performance machinery, the Blue Oval Saloon Series is a celebration of Ford's long and distinguished connection with motorsport.

Run by the Classic Touring Car Racing Club (CTCRC), the series brings together Ford saloons, coupés, hatchbacks and estates from across the decades. The result is one of the most varied Ford racing grids in UK club motorsport.

Spectators can expect to see familiar Blue Oval machinery including Ford Anglias, Cortinas, Escorts, Sierras and Fiestas, while Mustangs, Mondeos, Focuses and other models add even greater variety. Previous grids have featured everything from Mk2 Escorts and lightweight Fiestas to the formidable Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth.

Eligibility has been expanded further, including provision for spaceframe Fords and Ford cars using non-Ford engines. Combined with capacity-based classes, the changes open the door to an even broader selection of machinery while ensuring there are battles to follow throughout the field.
